Ross is a deer who comes from the Cansiglio. And what is the Cansiglio? The Cansiglio is a green plateau in the northern pre-Alps, between the Veneto and Friuli regions. It’s a place covered in woodlands: the perfect home for Ross and his deer friends.
But Ross is a deer who stands out – he’s a young male, a bit of a rebel and incredibly curious. He often leaves his herd to go looking for new excitement. One day, for example, he found out that near his woods there were some hills that were so beautiful that they were considered UNESCO World Heritage. He packed his bags in a jiffy and set off to see the hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene with his own eyes. The hills where Prosecco Superiore comes from, to be precise!
Ross walked for a long time, until the woods turned into luxuriant vineyards: an incredible expanse of green plants all in line – they were so beautiful, and their fruits, wow, so juicy!
He stared glossy eyed at the landscape until he realised that a wonderful smell was tickling his nose. Without stopping to think twice, he followed the smell and ended up in front of a large building called Serena Wines 1881 (hey, but Serena Wines that’s us!). The building was surrounded by impressive steel tanks. While he was looking up at them with his nose in the air, he bumped his horns against a tap sticking out from one of the tanks. Curious, he turned the tap and tasted the liquid that came out.
An incredible moment! The liquid was fizzy, fresh and inviting – it smelled of fresh flowers and juicy fruit. Just incredible! An almost mystical experience for Ross.
And there it was, precisely the moment when Ross decided he would never live without Prosecco again.
Ross only had one choice: to leave the Cansiglio woods forever and move to live there, a stone’s throw from that divine nectar!
And roaming through the vineyards, up and down the hills, he discovered a village that was just right for him: Costa! Why Costa rather than any of the other wonderful villages in the Prosecco area? Ok, the landscape is stunning. But above all because when he got there he found a bar with a large sign that said: Prosecco Serena Wines 1881. So, it was fate!
Ross soon turned up again in front of the doors to Serena Wines and declared his love for our Prosecco! And, well, we couldn’t help loving him!
We decided to create a Prosecco line together to represent him and his many personalities. Yes, because Ross is so funky that he loves to change his look really often, according to how he feels when he wakes up in the morning.
Sitting at the table, after some long and exhausting meetings, we decided that line would include Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore and Prosecco DOC; the totally new Prosecco DOC Rosé and the unmissable Prosecco Biologico. But there was no way we could leave out two personalised bubbly labels: il Rosé and Cuvée Extra Dry.
As many types of Prosecco as Ross’ personalities! Personalities that are perfectly aligned with the style of every wine. For Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Extra Dry, for example, Ross decided on his Gentleman version, a Ross with impeccable taste, sophisticated and elegant.
Ross Hippie is the Prosecco DOC Biologico: love for nature and lateral thinking, outside the box.
Il Prosecco DOC Rosé: when Ross found out that his favourite bubbles also existed in a pink version he totally lost his mind! For this such fresh and new version he chose Ross Sweet Lover: perfect for when he wants to feel fashionable, popular and absolutely cool! Then there’s Prosecco DOC Extra Dry, called Ross Dandy on the label, and Prosecco DOC Brut, with Ross in the Brave version on the label. The first is perfect for when Ross is feeling extravagant and eccentric, and the second for his bold and adventurous days.
Let’s say that the bubbles have brought out Ross’ true soul, the one that’s always there, regardless of the personality of the day! Deep down he’s a vivacious party animal – he loves life and always wants to smile and have fun. For the days when he’s feeling particularly festive he’s chosen Gran Cuvée Extra Dry with his Party Animal version on the label, quite literally!
And finally there’s Rosé Spumante Extra Dry with his Trendy version on the label: totally up to date, because, as we know, pink never goes out of fashion!
